I first began my teaching career in the 90’s at what is now Horizon Christian School. Over the years, I worked in both private and public schools where my children attended, and also homeschooled them for a season. In more recent years, I have taught K and 1st at a private homeschool co-op, and tutored students in reading, which is my favorite subject to teach! In my opinion, SFS gives students the best of both worlds: a fun, engaging classroom environment three days a week, and extra family time on homeschool days. What a fantastic opportunity for our students, and what a gift to teach at such an incredible school! When I am not teaching, I love to read and garden. I also raise bunnies, chickens, and ducks- and have seven (mostly grown!) children who visit on a regular basis.
